Oh I Just Love These New Paint Brushes

I love painting and I was recently looking for some new brushes or various sizes. These The Art Chest paint brushes I found that come in sizes 2, 4, 6, 8, 10 and 12. These brushes are soft and all you have to do before using them is gently rub each brush hair with your fingers to loosen the coating that is on each brush. Like I have done with other brushes, I also dip these brushes in warm water for about a couple minutes. Once in the warm water, I rinse and dry off the brushes before use.

These paint brushes can be use for acrylic, watercolor, oil, tempera, gouache painting mediums as well.

Because I like to paint so much, I bought more than one pair of them and really enjoy the different sizes and they do not shed either. This is important because the last thing a painter wants is brush hairs in their painting.

This is the French Press to use for all occassions

Coffee, of I have more than one cup per day and I have it in various flavors and styles. When I began using this French Press Coffee Maker by Sumatra Dream, I just loved it. First of all, I like that it does not require electricity. Honestly, you never know when one might not have electricity. For those, like myself, who love coffee, it would be aweful to be without my coffee for the day.

This is where owning a French Press comes into play. It is so easy to use, although it may look intimidating, it is not. All you have to do is take off the top, make sure the filter is on the is in place on the top. Then, pour in the amount of coffee, to the desired strength you prefer in the glass bottom of the French Press. Then, pour water, filtered is the best, on top of the coffee grinds and place the top back on the glass container.

The coffee grinds will begin to rise to the top. Now, the important thing to remember is, you do not press down on the top until the coffee grinds rise to the top and wait about 5 minutes before pressing down where the silver filter is in line with the bottom of the press.

After the press is in line with the bottom of the French Press, you are ready to taste the best coffee you will ever have. I love this and have been using this for about two weeks now. If you decide to use a dishwasher for cleaning, you can keep the handle and glass together. This French press is designed for easy cleaning without removing the glass from the plastic holder.

Oh and for those who might be off the grid, this is the coffee maker for you. It is fun watching the coffee being made and remember, no electricity required.

Make a cool looking coffee drink with this milk frother

If you like your coffee with cows milk, coconut milk or almond milk, you will want to use this LaGondola Milk Frother to give your coffee an amazing look, and taste, as well. It is so much fun to make your own foam on top, coffee drink, at home and it is so easy to use.

When making your coffee drink, all you need is a coffee mug, or use what I do, a cup like this in this photo above. Then, with one hand, I turn on my frother to either low or high speed and watch as the milk begins to foam up. If you want, you can add the frothed milk to your coffee mug first, or add it on top of your coffee.

All the milk frother needs is 2 AA batteries to begin using it. Once I add my frothed, foamed, milk to my coffee, I add fun spices like nutmeg, cinnamon or pumpkin and you will say to yourself, "Look at what I  just made" and drink it up. In fact, you can invite your friends over to drink a milk frothed coffee drink with you.

In fact, they will wonder how you made this drink and you can tell them where you purchased your LaGondola Milk Frother from so they can get their own.

The Jumbo Lemon Juicer by BTipsy is Something Every Kitchen and Restaurant Needs

The use of lemon in a food or drink recipe is very popular today. Lemon just brings out the sweet, yet tart, flavor of any recipe. This Jumbo Lemon Juicer is great to use because it keeps the lemon seeds out of any food or drink recipe.

Ever since receiving this product, I have used it to add lemon, and lime, juice to my dinners and drinks. It is super easy to use and there is no need to squeeze the lemon with your hands anymore or even use a small juicing product.

Plus, this hand lemon juicer is not messy and cleans up real easy as well. Everyone who loves to cook, bake and make their favorite drinks, will want to have this product in their kitchen or restaurant.

Right here, I am squeezing lemon juice into my smoothie drink and it is fun to use as well. Like I have stated above, this is a must have product to have in your kitchen or restaurant. It is small and does not require electricity either. It is win-win product to use anywhere.

Apple Slices are Cut Better with an Apple Slicer

Oh I love apples. They can be either sweet or tart. I like both these flavors. My favorite apple, of all apples though, is the Pink Lady. Oh it tastes like candy and is not around year round.

With this said, when eating any apple, I highly suggest you cut it into slices. Eating apple slices is a fun way to share your apple with family and friends and is great for dipping into any sauce.

Cutting apples into slices, with this Johnny Apple Slicer also saves on letting any apple go to waste because when biting into a full apple, it is more likely to not be eaten right away. It is highly likely a full apple will be placed down on a table, with all intents of the person eating the apple, to come back and finish it off.

When an apple is cut into slices, it makes eating an apple quicker and easier to share with family and friends. Also, either before, or after cutting an apple, it can be peeled if a person so desires.

Looking for a healthy snack is right at your fingertips when using the Johnny Apple Slicer to make eating an apple fun and easy to share.

Have you ever used Organic Blue Agave Sweetener before?

If not, I suggest you do. This Organic Blue Agave sweetener is delicious. Oh my goodness, this is a liquid sweetener and if you are a coffee drinker, this is the best sweetener to use because it blends well with hot and cold coffee. These days, there are so many artificial sweeteners, that I strongly suggest you do not use. Instead, use this Organic Blue Agave sweetener as it is a better alternative to white sugar and alternative sweeteners. Don't  get me wrong, sometimes you need white sugar for baking purposes, but when it come to adding a sweetener to coffee, tea or homemade lemonade, this Organic Blue Agave sweetener is the only product to use. Now, I just started using this Organic Blue Agave Sweetener two weeks ago and I do not see myself using anything else.

When it comes to sweeteners, I am sure you already know my stance of artificial sweeteners. If you are not aware of what artificial sweeteners are made from, let me tell you.  Artificial sweeteners, also known as, Aspartame, is also known as a Sweet Poison. This sounds like an oxymoron, right? Well, it is true. This is one sweetener you and your family do not want to use. When grocery shopping, there are a lot of sweeteners on the store shelves, right? Well, here are a list of these sweeteners, that go by different names, but are in fact ONE element (Aspartame).

This is the list of sweet poisons you will find on your store shelves:

  • Aspartame (yes, Aspartame is actually a boxed sweetener on your store shelf)
  • Equal
  • NutraSweet
  • E951
  • Spoonful
  • et al
This is an article I wrote on Gather.com in 2008! Yeah 2008 is when I found out what Aspartame was and how it was affecting my health. So, I am  not new to this whole healthy sugar sweetener you know. I want to wake up my family and friends to see that their current sweetener (poison-if this is what is being used) is not good for your health.

Here are the ingredients of Organic Blue Agave:

  • Organic Amber Nectar
  • A Low Glycemic Organic Sweetener
Organic Blue Agave is also:
  • Gluten Free
  • USDA Organic
  • Certified Organic by Quality Assurance International
  • Vegan
Well, there you go. These are reasons to use Organic Blue Agave instead of white sugar and artificial sweeteners.
Oh, one more thing, did you know white sugar comes from sugar cane and sugar beets? I am sure you do, but did you know beet sugar is being grown as a GMO crop? GMO, what is GMO you might be asking. Well the acronym for GMO means: Genetically Modified Organism, Genetically Engineered Organism, Genetically Altered  Organism and Genetically Manipulated Organism . Is this something you want in your body? If it can be avoided, please avoid eating and drinking anything grown from a GMO crop.
How do I know the food is GMO? Good question. If you live in California (like I do), you had the chance to vote YES on 37 in November. The Yes on 37 meant YES label GMO fruits and vegetables. Sadly, this proposition did not pass because Monsanto and others like them defeated the grassroots effort to label GMO foods. If our foods were labeled "Non-GMO", we would have a choice to eat or not to eat GMO foods. Now, Monsanto, who makes GMO seeds, is immune from any lawsuit or whatever is thrown their way.

It will be a miracle if another state can get their Non-GMO labels on their fruits and vegetables.

To your health!
